Foodsafe’s Food Manager Certification Courses
Our Certification Course meets the requirements of the Certification Rule by the MN Dept of Health and Ag! Our courses are one day in length (typically six hours) to help you and your establishment meet training and educational requirements in the shortest amount of time possible. Best of all, our instructors are past or present health inspectors to ensure the information given during class is accurate and based on the food code.
Foodsafe’s Food Manger Re-Certification Courses
Under the Certification Rule by the MN Dept of Health and Ag, you must become re-certified every three years. To become re-certified you must attend a re-certification class for a minimum of four hours - no exam is required.
Food Manager Certification Correspondence Course
Our Correspondence Course was specifically designed to meet the Certification Rule without spending six to eight hours in a classroom. To become certified using the correspondence course, the participant reads the Correspondence Textbook and takes the practice exam (at the end of book). The practice exam is returned to Foodsafe for correction. Upon successful passing the practice exam, a completion certificate and testing locations are sent to the course participant. The course participant chooses which testing site he or she wishes to attend and returns the examination registration form to Foodsafe. A confirmation letter is sent to the participant indicating the date, time, and location of the examination site.
Food Manager Re-Certification Correspondence Course
Foodsafe is now able to provide a Food Manager Re-certification Correspondence Course approved by the MN Dept of Health and Ag. To become re-certified using this option, the participant reads our Re-certification Correspondence Coursebook (40 pages) and completes the 100 question quiz (enclosed in the Coursebook). The quiz is returned to Foodsafe for correction. If a score of 75% is achieved on the quiz, a Re-certification certificate worth 4 hours of continuing educational credits is sent to the participant.
